Hiding or showing processes
Processes cannot be deleted — you hide them. Hidden processes disappear from the Process Space, but are retained for reasons of revision security and can be shown again.
Bpanda does not delete processes, so that a process and its revisions remain verifiable (revision security) and nobody can destroy them accidentally. Instead, you hide the process: the users no longer see it, the record remains.
Prerequisites
You are the Process Owner of the process or a BPM Manager.
A process can only be hidden if there is no active review and no running job for it.
Context
A hidden process no longer appears anywhere in the Process Space, only on the Show processes page. Hiding can be temporary or permanent.
Hiding a process permanently removes it from the favourites, the process history and the subscriptions of all users.
Showing a process cancels its hiding: all revisions of the process become visible again for the users authorised to see them. Favourites, process history and subscriptions are not restored.
If the process is not only to be hidden temporarily, we recommend removing all references to the process (assignment to process maps, role assignments, etc.).
The Hide processes and Show processes pages consist of the columns Process name, Process level and Status, among others. For the BPM Manager, the table shows all processes in the Process Space, and for a Process Owner their own. If there are many entries, it is spread over several pages.
How to proceed
-
In the main menu, select Processes > Manage Processes.
The overview page of the same name appears.
-
Select the Actions tab.
-
To hide processes, select the Hide processes action in the Assignment and Visibility tile. To show processes, select the Show processes action there.
The page of the same name appears.
-
To restrict the list of processes, set filters and close the filter selection by clicking the filter again.
The table is restricted accordingly.
-
Activate the selection fields of the processes that are no longer to be displayed, or are to be displayed again, in the Process Space.
-
Click Carry out action on [Number] process(es).
A note about the consequences of hiding or showing appears. Confirm it.
