Assigning Multiple Processes
BPM Managers can assign multiple processes to a hierarchy element of the process map.
A process that is not assigned to a hierarchy element is not accessible in the process map. This mainly affects imported processes that have not yet been assigned to a process level. You assign a single process via the process hierarchy, see Assigning a Process to a Hierarchy Element. This page describes the action for multiple processes at once.
Prerequisites
You are a BPM Manager.
Context
Processes must be linked to a hierarchy element to be accessible in the process map.
The Assign Processes to a Process Level page contains a table with columns such as Process Name, Process Level and Status, each of which you can restrict to specific entries using Filters.
The table can be restricted to the imported and unassigned processes, for example by using the filter values not set for the Process Level column and Imported for the Status column.
The table shows all processes of the process space. If there are many entries, it is split across several pages.
Select the processes that you want to assign to the same hierarchy element using their checkboxes.
Information can be called up for each process.
In the dialog for selecting the process map, hierarchy elements that have sub-elements are marked with an arrow.
How to proceed
-
Select Processes > Manage Processes in the main menu.
The overview page of the same name appears.
-
Select the Actions tab.
-
Select the Assign Processes to a Process Level action in the Assignment and Visibility tile.
A page of the same name appears.
-
A filter means less paging: restrict the list of processes using the filters. To do so, click on the filter, set the filter and close the filter selection by clicking on the filter again.
The table is restricted accordingly.
-
Activate the checkboxes of the processes that you want to assign to the same hierarchy element of the process map.
-
Click on Perform Action on [Number] Process(es).
The Select Process Map for [Number] Processes dialog appears.
-
Navigate to the hierarchy element to which the selected processes are to be assigned and select it.
-
Click on Save.
The selected processes are assigned to the hierarchy element of the process map. Depending on the filter settings, they may no longer be displayed.
