Process Hierarchy and Visible Process Versions
Of the several versions of a process, at most one is visible; which one it is is decided by a fixed order of precedence based on validity and publication.
A process can exist in several versions: a valid one, a future one, an expired one, plus imported revisions. You cannot choose which of them you see — Bpanda decides it, and does so in the same way everywhere in the Process Space.
Getting to know the process hierarchy
The processes whose versions are the subject here are structured in levels; how this structure comes about is described in Process Hierarchy.
Visibility of process versions
If several versions of a process exist, Bpanda displays at most one of them. Which one is determined by this order of precedence: the first level that applies is the one that counts.
- Valid process version (published version within the validity period)
- Next valid process version (published version with a later validity period)
- Last valid process version (published version with an earlier validity period)
- Last imported process version (revision, for authorised roles only)
- No display
The respective visible process version of a process is displayed as a search result and under Favourites, Recently Viewed and Relevant Processes.
In connection with a review, the process version that is in the review is displayed.
The Process Owner or a BPM Manager can block users, groups and organisational units for a process, on the process page under ⋮ Roles and Permissions in the Process Access Blocked section. The process is not visible to blocked users.
