Editing and Translating an Element

An element can be renamed and translated.

You adjust the name and description of a hierarchy element when the name in the Process Map has changed — the two should largely match. Bpanda displays the translation into one of the content languages to the users who work in that language.

Prerequisites

You are a BPM Manager.

You are on the Manage Process Space page in the Process Hierarchy tab.

Context

You edit the name and description of an element, for example to adapt it to a changed name in the process map.

The name and description can be translated into one of the content languages in order to display them to users in that language.

How to Proceed

  1. To rename or translate an element, navigate to the element and click ⋮ Manage Level.

    The element’s page appears.

  2. To rename the element, change its name and adjust the description.

The Discard Changes and Save commands are enabled.

  3. To translate the name or description, click the translate icon to the right of the Name or Description heading. It only appears if the process space has at least two content languages.

The display switches to two-column mode with source language and target language.

  4. In the drop-down list of the same name, select the Target Language, enter the translation for the name and description of the element, and repeat the procedure to translate into further languages.

  5. To confirm the changes, click Save.

The changes are saved and the buttons are disabled.
