Managing my process map drafts
As a BPM Manager, you can create the process maps of the Process Space in the Process Map Editor or import them from other tools.
A process map draft is not yet a process map: it only becomes visible once you submit it and thereby assign it to a level of the process hierarchy. Until then, it is located on the home page under Drafts on the Process Maps tab — separate from the process drafts on the Processes tab.
Prerequisites
You are a BPM Manager.
Context
A process map draft is created in Bpanda by one of the following actions:
-
On the Process Hierarchy page (main menu Processes > Process Hierarchy), you select the level without a process map and click Open Process Map Editor.
The level is preset in the draft.
-
In the sidebar, you click Create and then Process Map, or on the Drafts page on the Process Maps tab you click Create new draft.
You select the level when submitting.
A process map draft that you have started appears on the home page under Drafts on the Process Maps tab. With the All drafts, My drafts and Shared drafts filter, you narrow down the list — so a draft is not necessarily only yours.
How to proceed
-
On the home page, under Relevant for me, click the Drafts heading.
The page of the same name appears.
-
Switch to the Process Maps tab.
Your process map drafts are displayed.
-
To create a process map draft, click Create new draft. (For an alternative, see point 1 above.)
The Process Map Editor appears.
-
To open a draft in the Process Map Editor, click the name or the thumbnail of a draft.
The draft opens in the integrated Process Map Editor.
-
To submit a draft, click Submit.
A dialog for the assignment to a hierarchy element in the process hierarchy appears. Select the hierarchy element and confirm the submission with Submit.
The draft is submitted as a process map at this level. This process map can be edited again as a draft. The process map still has to be linked.
-
To delete a draft, click Delete.
A dialog appears. Confirm the deletion with Delete.
