Tasks
What you have to do in Bpanda — job, review, question, expiring process version —, where to find it and how to mark or delete tasks.
Bpanda creates a task for you as soon as there is something for you to do: a work step in a job, an assessment in a review, a question about your process, a process version that is about to expire. Every task links to the element it concerns, and most of them disappear by themselves once they are done.
Where you find them
On the Home page, the Tasks area under Relevant for me shows your current tasks. Clicking the heading opens the My Tasks page with all of them.
There, the tasks are grouped by due date: Today (including everything overdue), This week, This month and Later for tasks without a due date. Tasks with a due date show the remaining time or, if it has elapsed, Overdue since and the period. Reviews, expiring process versions, updating a risk analysis and jobs with a deadline have due dates.
Two filters narrow down the list. All Categories offers the categories for which you currently have tasks, together with their number: Job, Review, Q&A, Process Validity, Approval Process or Risk Management; you can select several. In All Names you search for a word in the task text, for example a process name. As long as a filter is set, the page shows a simple list instead of the groups. If there are jobs you could take on, the assigned to me only switch also appears; it hides them.
Marking and deleting
- To highlight a task, click the bookmark icon (Mark) in its row. It then also appears in the Marked list and stays there until you select Unmark.
- To get rid of a task that you have finished with, click the delete icon (Delete task). It turns grey and disappears as soon as you leave or reload the page. Deleting cannot be undone.
Most often you delete tasks about questions that someone else has already answered. Otherwise such tasks remain in the list. One exception is the task of updating a risk analysis: if you delete it, Bpanda creates it again the following day. This repeats as long as the analysis expires in less than 30 days.
Who receives which task and when it ends is described in Which task you receive when.
