Manage Employees

Users can be assigned to organizational units or organizational roles and are then managed as employees of the organization.

Employees are not created anew: they are the users of the Process Space that you assign to an organizational unit or an organizational role. For how they get into the Process Space, see Inviting Users to the Process Space.

Prerequisites

You are a user of the Process Space.

To make changes, the following also applies: you are a BPM Manager, and Bpanda does not display the note “The hierarchy of your organizational structure can only be edited in Innovator.”

How Employees Are Managed

Bpanda users can be assigned to organizational units and organizational roles on the Organization page. They are then managed as employees of the organization.

A Process Owner or BPM Manager can assign organizational units and organizational roles to a process as Process Participants, either to a specific lane or to the process as a whole. You do this on the process page under ⋮ Roles and Permissions in the Process Participants section. This is how you record, for example, that a unit carries out the tasks of a lane. The employees of the unit or role then find the process under Relevant Processes. See Appointing Participants for Multiple Process Revisions.

You edit the assignments in the Employees section of the Organization page. It contains the Assigned Organizational Roles and Assigned Organizational Units pages.
