Declaration of Accessibility
General
We at Bpanda endeavor to make our application as accessible as possible for our users. We are continuously working on improvements to comply with the current standards (European standard EN 301549).
The following lists aspects we have already implemented to make use of Bpanda as accessible as possible:
Text Alternatives
Alternative texts exist for non-textual content (operating elements, icons, graphics). Brief descriptions can be found in the Alt attribute. Alternative texts inform about content or function. Alternative texts make non-textual content more accessible to users with assistive technologies.
Structure and Semantic
The following excludes: content implemented by the user.
-
All information, structures and relationships conveyed through presentation can be recognized by assistive technologies. Headers and labels indicate the topic or purpose.
-
Paragraphs and other content which belongs together are marked as paragraphs or running text.
-
Labels (HTML element: <label>) are uniquely linked with the respective operating elements.
-
Function areas which belong together are marked with a header element. The header hierarchy is displayed using suitable header elements (HTML element: <h1> to <h5>).
-
Visually recognizable lists are marked using applicable list elements. Relationships between lists (e.g. a nested list) is mapped at the structure level.
-
Tabular data is processed as a data table. Header rows are structured (HTML element: <th>). Tabular data in complex tables can be tracked by linking header cells and data cells.
Colors
-
Coloring can be customized in Bpanda to suit your company's corporate identity; this means it is also possible to adjust coloring to suit colorblind users.
-
Mandatory fields or incorrect entries in a form are not only highlighted in another color. Mandatory fields are e.g. marked with an "*", can be recognized in HTML by assistive systems and display a message if an incorrect entry is made.
Contrast and Distinguishability
-
Bpanda is a product which can be accessed and operated via the web browser. You therefore require an additional software for enhanced contrast.
-
Customizability of a process room means that graphics and texts may appear differently, depending on which company-specific colors have been used and other customization options set.
-
Listed elements are clearly visible, easily operable and have sufficient contrast if a high-contrast color scheme is used.
Scalability
-
Texts and graphics are not displayed blurry or unclear. The web fonts we use ensure this.
-
Horizontal scrolling not possible. High zoom levels ungroup elements so that blocks are displayed as thinner or below each other instead of next to each other. Our responsive design ensures this.
-
You can use the browser's zoom to zoom text to 200% of the default font size without losing content or function.
-
All text can be zoomed to the set factor.
