Managing Organization

The organization in the process space depicts relevant parts of the organizational structure and certain aspects of the organizational flow within your company.

What is the purpose of the organization?

An organization is used to divide monitoring of economic resources and operational processes within a company into organizational units.
Competences and assignments are described using roles (jobs); these are carried out by certain people.

The organizational structure depicts the system of competences which exist within a company. It includes both aspects within the vertical organizational structure, as well as those within the horizontal coordination, known as the organizational flow. As well as hierarchical relationships between organizational units, you can also manage other relationship types (e.g. technical cooperation) in Bpanda.

The BPM Manager can structure the organizational structure for the part of their company relevant for the process space as a tree structure with multiple levels.

How do I handle the area?

Which organization aspects are managed?

The following assignments need to be completed when managing organization within the process space:

  • Creating Organizational Structures

If the associated organizational structure should also be used in Bpanda as well as the process hierarchy, then this can be done on the Organization page. These transitions occur through the organizational roles or units assigned to a process.

  • Assigning Owners and Members

You can assign Owners, Deputies and members to the organizational units from the Bpanda users.

  • Extending Transitions between Organizational Units

Bpanda has directed and undirected transitions which can be used when extending hierarchical transitions with the organizational structure. Do this to e.g. depict a specialist collaboration between organizational units which are not hierarchically linked.

  • Creating Organizational Roles

Organizational roles describe competences and assignments required for a position within the organization. They can assign Bpanda users to these roles.

You can assign both organizational roles to organizational units, and vice versa.

  • Linking Processes

Users with appropriate rights can use the process page to assign organizational roles and units to a process or lane. This directly links the process and organization. The linked processes are automatically shown for the organizational roles and units.

  • Typing

Organizational units, their relationships and organizational roles can be typed to show their grouping.
