Importing a Process via BPMN Interfaces

Importing a process via a BPMN interface is a way of getting processes from other modeling tools into the process space.

Prerequisites

Processes can be imported by a BPM Manager or Process Designer.

Context

Importing the processes makes them available in the process space.

Processes can be imported as BPMN files (*.bpmn). A BPMN file can contain one or more processes. The processes contained are displayed and always fully imported.

How to proceed

  1. Select Import Processes in the  main menu.

The page of the same name appears.

  2. Click on Select File.

The standard dialog for opening a file appears.

  3. Select the BPMN file for the process or processes and click on Open.

The BPMN file is read and the process diagrams it contains are displayed.

  4. Click on Start Import.

The import will be finished. You will be notified as soon as the content is available in the process space.

You can continue using Bpanda as normal while you wait.

  5. Repeat the steps from step 2 to import further BPMN files.
