Showing or Hiding Processes

Processes cannot be deleted or removed; this stops a process and its revision being deleted by mistake. You can hide a process if you no longer want it to appear in the process space.

Process Owners can show and hide their processes under Manage Processes in the Assignment and Visibility tile in the Actions tab in the  main menu. BPM Managers can show and hide all processes.

Processes cannot be deleted or removed to retain revision safety. Processes can only be hidden. Hide a process if you do not want it to be visible for users in the process space. This can be temporary or general.

The Hide Processes and Show Processes pages are made up of the Process Name, Process Level and Status columns.

A BPM Manager can see information about all processes in the process space in the table of processes, whereas a Process Owner can only see the information for all processes they are responsible for.

The Process Owner or BPM Manager can carry out the following actions.

  • Hide Processes

Hiding a process has the same effect as deleting the process in the process space as it will be removed from all depictions, apart from the table of processes, where it can be shown again.

If you want to permanently delete the process, then we recommend that you remove all references of the process (assignment to process maps, role assignment etc).

Select the processes that should no longer be shown in the process space and click on Execute action on {{number}} process(es). A message of what effect this will have appears.

Hiding a process permanently removes it from Favorites, Process History and Subscriptions for all users.

  • Show Processes

Showing a process makes it visible. All revisions of the process are restored. The process revisions will be visible again to those with respective authorization.

Favorites, process history and subscriptions cannot be restored.

Select the processes that should be shown again in the process space and click on Execute action on {{number}} process(es). A message of what effect this will have appears.
