Building and Modifying the Process Hierarchy

You can add as many elements (structuring elements or processes) to every sublevel of the process hierarchy that should be linked to the respective process map above.

Elements and Displaying them in the Process Hierarchy

The process hierarchy in the Process Hierarchy tab contains elements which structure processes and the actual processes themselves. First processes and then their sublevels are shown in a level of the process hierarchy. Entries are automatically sorted alphabetically within both of these groups.

Functions for Elements and Processes

The following functions exist for an element:

  • Show Diagram (only for existing process maps)

Shows the process map in a dialog.

  • Add New Sublevel

Creates a new element in the sublevel.

  • Delete Level

Deletes the element. The root element cannot be deleted.

  • Go to Process Map

Jumps to the process map. If one does not exist yet, then it can be imported or created.

  • Manage Level

Can be used for editing and translating names and descriptions of elements, as well as setting the entry point in the process hierarchy for certain organizational units, organizational roles, groups or individual users.

The following functions exist for a process:

  • Show Diagram

Shows the process diagram in a dialog. Only the start event appears for processes with no diagram.

  • Remove Process

Removes the process from the process hierarchy. The process is available for assignment.

  • Go to Process

    Jumps to the process page.

You can also modify the structure by dragging and dropping elements within the process hierarchy.
