Getting Started

Use Bpanda to quickly and easily get information about processes relevant to you. Process steps can be shown as diagrams, process lists or as a step-by-step guide.

Bpanda Functions

Bpanda is a platform where all information about business processes is stored in one place so that all process participants can exchange information. You can use the process platform on a PC, tablet or smartphone. We recommend using the following browsers: Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera or Microsoft Edge. Please note that JavaScript needs to be activated.

The intuitive user interface means it is easy for all users to quickly find the information they require. The search function already starts suggesting search words when you start typing.

You can understand processes even if you don't know what the diagram icons mean. Process steps, including all branches, are always automatically shown as text in a process list. Or you can use a Guide to take you through your process step-by-step and explain each diagram icon. Even complex processes can be easily understood and are easy to use.

Process owners can easily link each process and process step with relevant documents, videos and links. Competent process participants can help them to do this.

Process designers can create processes using the integrated Modeler. Or you can use another BPMN XML modeling tool to integrate your processes into Bpanda.

You can suggest ways to improve a process by asking a question about the process. Discussions and decisions are directly linked to the process and documented there.

The following main Bpanda features make it easy for all participants to access information about processes and structures:

  • Free form process hierarchy

  • Process map for showing process hierarchy levels

Bpanda Structure

Bpanda has an interface made up of the following main elements:

  • Application Header and Footer

Starting from the left of the header, you can always access the main menu and open your user menu; clicking on the Bpanda logo takes you back to the start page; search your process space in the search bar; check your notifications.

You can expand the footer by clicking on it to see your BPM manager's contact details, version information and links to relevant websites.

  • Main Menu

The main menu allows you to access all main functions available for your current roles and your user profile.

  • Page

You can use features in the main menu to access certain pages with specific information. Pages always have their own header with the page name and any other information about the content being displayed. Page content might be split into sections.

The information might be shown in separate tabs if the aspects to be shown are very extensive, e.g. for the process page.

  • Start Page

The start page shows current information in the various tiles and is used to access a process space. You can access a process space's processes using the process map.

  • Search results

Search hits consist of processes and process elements visible to you in the process space's processes. You can narrow your search results using filters.

  • Process Map

The Process Map gives you an overview of which processes exist in the part of the process space visible to you.

  • Process Page

Opening a process takes you to the process page. This page contains all information about a process.

  • Review Page

Opening a review takes you to the review page. You can then navigate to information about the review.

Dialogs also appear to guide you through certain processes.
