**BPM Managers** and **Designers** have extended rights in the Process Space. An additional **BPM Manager** keeps the Process Space manageable even when you are not there.

## Prerequisites [#prerequisites]

You are a **BPM Manager** in the Process Space.

There is at least one **Designer** who is **not** yet a **BPM Manager**.

## Background [#background]

In **Account Management**, certain users are given the authorization to import processes and design them with the integrated **Modeler**. Only these users have the **Designer** role in the Process Space. The **BPM Managers** are also defined there. You can additionally define further **BPM Managers** in the Process Space, exclusively from among the **Designers**.

Additional **BPM Managers** can be defined as deputies, for example.

Note: Additional **Designers** are defined by an **Account Manager** in **Account Management**, ideally via a group. See [Defining Designers and BPM Managers](/en/settings/manage-account/process-designers-and-bpm-managers).

## How to proceed [#how-to-proceed]

1. In the main menu, select **Settings** and then **Manage Process Space**.

The page of the same name appears. You are on the **Process Hierarchy** tab.
2. Switch to the **Manage Users** tab.
3. To select BPM Managers, click the edit icon in the **BPM Manager** section.

The **Select BPM Manager** dialog appears.
4. To define a user as a BPM Manager, select the check box.
5. To remove a user as a BPM Manager, clear the check box.
6. To confirm the currently selected BPM Managers, click **Apply Selection**.

The applied BPM Managers are listed.
