Assigning Licenses
As an Account Manager, you assign your account's Bpanda licenses to groups or individual users — anyone without a license cannot enter the process space.
Anyone with a Bpanda license can read the process space and collaborate in it. You assign the license in the account management, ideally to a group rather than to individual users.
Prerequisites
You are an Account Manager of your account.
The users or groups you want to give a license to already exist in the account. See Creating and Managing Account Users and Creating Groups.
Background
The Licenses section on the Account tab shows each license of your account with Valid Until and Available. Available states how many licenses are still free and how many there are in total, for example 11 / 23. With Show Only Valid and Show Only Available you hide expired or assigned licenses.
Details shows the total number, the creation date, the licensed users and whether the license is renewed automatically for a license. The number and the term are determined by MID. If you need more licenses or a longer term, contact your MID representative, see Contacting Support.
If you assign the license to a group, every member receives it, including anyone who joins the group later. In the list of Account Users, such a user is marked with an asterisk: User Already has a License in a Group. If the licenses are no longer sufficient for a group, all Account Managers receive an e-mail stating how many licenses are missing for which group.
Caution: Anyone who loses their Bpanda license is removed from the process space. The account management warns you before this happens.
How to Proceed
-
Open the account management, see Managing Accounts.
The Account tab appears.
-
In the Licenses section, click the group icon in the license’s row.
The Select Licensed Users and Groups dialog appears. At the top you can see how many licenses are still free.
-
Select the check box of every group and every user that is to receive the license. At first the list shows all entries. Using Show All, you can restrict it to the selected or the unselected entries.
-
To revoke a license, clear the check box.
-
Click Confirm.
If your selection exceeds the free licenses, the dialog displays The number of available user licenses has been exceeded.
You can also change an individual user’s licenses via their row in the list of Account Users, see Creating and Managing Account Users.
Exporting License Information
Export License Information as CSV at the top of the Account tab downloads your account’s license information as a CSV file, for example for an evaluation in a spreadsheet application.
