Templates for risks and opportunities simplify and standardize how process risks and opportunities are recorded. They can be saved by the **Process Owners** or created here by the **Risk Manager** and are available to the Process Owners when they create a risk analysis.

## Structure of the Templates tab [#structure-of-the-templates-tab]

The tab shows all templates for **Risks** and **Opportunities** saved by **Process Owners** or **Risk Managers**.

Similar risks or opportunities are usually relevant for similar process steps in particular, and similar controls are then suitable for them as well.

A control icon identifies risk templates that contain at least one control.
