Editing is done on the expanded entry via ⋮ **Edit**. Assigning it to a process or a process element is not part of this — for that, see [Changing the assignment of a risk or an opportunity](/en/risks/evaluate-processes-for-risks-and-chances/changing-assignment-of-risk-or-chance).

You must be responsible for the process.

You have added a risk or an opportunity to a process or a process element.

## Context [#context]

The details of a risk or an opportunity are to be changed.

## How to proceed [#how-to-proceed]

1. Select the process or process element whose risk or opportunity you want to change.

   The risks and opportunities recorded for it so far are listed.
2. Click the risk or opportunity you want to edit.

   The details are expanded.
3. To edit the details, select ⋮ **Edit**.

   The **Edit Risk** or **Edit Opportunity** dialog appears.
4. Make your changes and confirm them with **Save Changes**.

   The dialog closes.
5. Click the name of the risk or opportunity you have edited.

   The details are collapsed.
