Changing the assignment of a risk or opportunity

A risk or opportunity can be reassigned within the same process.

Both cases are handled via the ⋮ menu on the expanded entry: Change Assignment for an assigned entry, Assign to Selection or Assign to Process for one that has lost its assignment.

Prerequisites

You must be the Process Owner.

You have added a risk or opportunity to a process or a process element.

Context

A risk or opportunity is to be assigned to the process or to another process element.

A risk or opportunity can lose its assignment, for example if the associated process element no longer exists after a review. Bpanda does not reassign the entry itself in this case. It is listed below the list in the Unattributed Risks/Chances section until you assign it. As long as there is an entry there that you have not marked as obsolete, the analysis cannot be published.

Reassignment can only take place within the same process.

How to proceed

  1. Select the process or process element whose risk or opportunity you want to reassign.

The risks and opportunities recorded for it so far are listed.

  2. Click the risk or opportunity you want to assign.

    The details are expanded.

  3. To reassign an assigned risk or opportunity, select ⋮ Change Assignment.

The dialog of the same name appears.

  4. In the list, click the process or process element to which you want to assign the risk or opportunity.

The assignment is made and the dialog closes.

  5. To assign an entry without an assignment, first select the target, i.e. the process element or the process. Then, on the entry in the Unattributed Risks/Chances section, select ⋮ Assign to Selection. If the process is selected, the menu item is called Assign to Process.

    The assignment is made.
