You create a new role in the **Organizational Roles** section via the plus icon. In the dialog, you enter the name, select the **Role Type**, set the **External** flag if required and can translate the name into further languages right away.

## Prerequisites [#prerequisites]

You meet the prerequisites from [Managing Organizational Roles](/en/organization/manage-org-roles).

You are on the **Organization** page.

## Context [#context]

You always name the role in the modeling language. The language set for content in your profile is irrelevant here. See [Specifying Modeler Settings](/en/settings/manage-process-space/manage-modeler-preferences).

Every organizational role requires a **Role Type**. Bpanda suggests one, which you can change in the dialog.

## Procedure [#procedure]

1. To create an organizational role, click the plus icon at the bottom right of the **Organizational Roles** section.

   The creation dialog appears.
2. Enter the name of the organizational role.
3. In the **Role Type** selection list, select the type of the role.
4. To mark the role as an external role, activate **External**.
5. To translate the name, click the toggle icon at the top right of the dialog. It only appears if the process space has at least two content languages.

The display switches to two-column mode.
6. In the selection list, select the language, enter the translation for the name and repeat the process to translate into further languages.
7. To confirm the changes, click **OK**.

The changes are saved and the dialog is closed.
