Here, the assignment starts from the user: you select a Bpanda user and set all organisational roles for them at once. This is the way to go when you are classifying an individual person — for example when onboarding a new employee. By default, the page only shows the users who are already assigned to an organisational role.

## Prerequisites [#prerequisites]

You meet the prerequisites from [Managing Employees](/en/organization/manage-employees).

You are on the **Organisation** page.

## Context [#context]

It is the same assignment that you can also set on the page of an organisational role — see [Selecting Employees to Execute a Role](/en/organization/manage-org-roles/selecting-employees-to-execute-role).

Employees and their assignment to organisational roles are managed in the **Employees** section on the **Assigned Organisational Roles** page.

You can assign users to the existing organisational roles.

The **Role Type** and **Organisational Role** filters are only offered if there are several role types.

## How to Proceed [#how-to-proceed]

1. To display the **Assigned Organisational Roles** page, click on the entry of the same name in the **Employees** section.

By default, the users who are assigned to an organisational role are displayed.
2. To display unassigned users, click on the filter symbol and deactivate the **Only show assigned** selection field.

All users are displayed, spread over several pages if applicable.
3. To edit a user's assignments, hover over their row and click on the framed person symbol at the **right-hand end of the row**. It only appears when the mouse pointer is over the row. The person symbol to the left of the name, by contrast, is the user's profile picture — it shows a placeholder as long as none has been stored, and cannot be clicked.

The **Select organisational role for <User Name>** dialogue appears.
4. To restrict the selectable roles in the dialogue, click on the filter symbol for the **Role Type** filter or for the **Organisational Role** filter and activate the corresponding selection fields.

   The entries are restricted accordingly.
5. To assign a role to the user, activate its selection field.
6. To confirm the details, click on **OK**.

The assigned roles are updated for the user.
