Renaming, typing and translating an organizational unit or organizational role
Change the names of organizational units and organizational roles, switch the type, set the External flag and translate into the content languages.
In the same editing mode, you change the name of an organizational unit or organizational role, its type and the External flag — and translate the name. The procedure is the same for both; only what you select in step 1 differs.
Prerequisites
You meet the prerequisites from Editing units and roles.
You are on the Organization page.
Context
You edit the name, for example to adapt it to a changed organization.
The name is always entered in the modeling language first. It can be translated into one of the content languages in order to display it to users in that language.
How to proceed
-
In the organizational structure, click the organizational unit or, in the Organizational Roles section, click the role.
The page of the organizational unit or organizational role appears on the right.
-
To rename it, click the edit icon next to the name in the right-hand page header.
The page section for editing and translating the name appears.
-
In the Name field, enter the new name.
-
To translate the name, click the translate icon in the page header to the right of the Name field. It only appears if the Process Space has at least two content languages.
The display switches to two-column mode.
-
Select the target language, enter the translation for the name and repeat the process to translate into further languages.
-
To change the type, select the required entry in Type of Organizational Units or Role Type.
When creating, the type is mandatory; here you change it afterwards.
-
To change the flag, toggle External.
-
To confirm the changes, click OK.
