You can find your jobs in two places: on the home page in the **Tasks** area, which shows you the due ones, and in the main menu under **Jobs**, where all jobs are listed that are or were assigned to you or your group. Both views sort the jobs by deadline.

## Background [#background]

**Jobs** are the key means of actually bringing a process to life and implementing it in reality. Of course, modern processes contain many work steps that are carried out automatically by machines. But even for these process steps, specific employees are responsible for monitoring them. That is why these steps are also included in the job.

A job distributes the work steps of a process to the responsible employees or groups, and everyone sees who takes on which step. Jobs assigned to groups can be taken over by any group member.

You can use two views of the jobs that are relevant to you:

- Due jobs are tasks

On the home page, the **Tasks** area shows you your tasks, including your due jobs.

Start a job there by clicking **Complete the job '\<Job name\>'** for jobs assigned to you, or **Job '\<Job name\>' can be taken over** for jobs assigned to your group.
- Your jobs yesterday and today

In the main menu, **Jobs** takes you directly to the overview of all jobs that are or were assigned to you or your group for execution. Here, too, you can take over a job.

The jobs relevant to you are displayed for execution in the order of the deadline entries.

You do not have to wait until you open Bpanda to learn about a new job: when a job is assigned to you or a job of your group can be taken over, you receive a notification and shortly afterwards an email, see [When you receive which notification](/en/getting-started/notifications/which-notification-when).

## How to proceed [#how-to-proceed]

1. To view your pending jobs, click the **Tasks** heading under **Relevant for me** on the home page. Start a job by clicking **Complete the job '\<Job name\>'** or **Job '\<Job name\>' can be taken over**.

The job is displayed with its details.
2. To view the overview of all jobs relevant to you, select **Jobs** in the main menu.

The jobs are divided into the **To take over**, **My jobs**, **Colleagues' jobs** and **Completed** tabs. The overview shows you all the respective jobs.
3. To restrict the display of your jobs in a tab of the **Jobs** overview to specific processes and/or a specific period, use the **Process** and **Period** selection lists.

   The display is restricted accordingly.
